Birte Hindenlang , M.Sc.

Imaging and Data Science

PhD Student

Birte Hindenlang is a material scientist and works as a Ph.D. student at the HZG outstation at DESY. Here, she investigates the degradation behavior of Mg-Implants under load. During her master thesis she investigated the evaporation behavior of water from t-ZnO networks.

Dr. Berit Zeller Plumhoff

Imaging and Data Science

Head of Department

Berit Zeller Plumhoff holds a master in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Bioengineering. As a PhD student she was focussing on tomographic imaging and image-based modelling of soft tissues. Since September 2016, she leads the project 'MgBone - Multimodal imaging for structural analysis of bone modeling induced by degraded magnesium implants' and works at the HZG-outstation DESY in Hamburg. Berit studies the impact of biodegradable implants on the crystallisation and crystal orientation of newly formed bone.
