System Design for Mobile Applications

In order to make the energy transition more sustainable, we need to convert the mobility sector to using regenerative energies. Hydrogen as a sustainable energy carrier plays a decisive role here. The “System Design for Mobile Applications” department develops new concepts and ideas for efficient, safe and compact hydrogen storage in vehicles. We are focusing on developing novel hydrogen storage systems based on metal hydrides. These storage systems can contribute to an energy efficient emission-free mobility and thereby lead to increased sustainability and climate protection.
