The shape memory polymer technology was transformed into mono and multifilaments for smart textile applications. These filaments were implemented into textile manufacturing techniques to develop medical garments that can change their shape and fit depending on the therapy requirements. This project, based on a patented technology aims for validation of smart compression stocking that can precisely fit to the patient’s anatomy as well as provides them with resilient mechanical properties and significantly simplifies the donning. The main goal of these innovative textiles is to improve patient compliance to compression therapy and for a better therapeutic effect. Memorthotic develops a prototype of a game-changing compression stocking with a goal of a further market entry.
