CoastDat - Database
Model-based database related to mete-marine environment
CoastDat is a model-based database that utilizes quasi-realistic numerical models to describe the meteo-marine environment in data-sparse regions.
CoastDat is a model-based database that utilizes quasi-realistic numerical models to describe the meteo-marine environment in data-sparse regions. These models generate long-term, high-resolution data, enabling reconstruction of marine climate aspects (e.g., storms, waves, surges) over decades in the past and future. Developed over 15 years ago, coastDat has successfully addressed various issues in the North Sea, including changes in wind and storm surge climate. It has been tested by over 100 users from academia, government, and industry, answering specific questions like predicting weather windows in offshore regions.
