The Regional Climate Atlas Germany is an interactive tool that presents current research results on possible future climate change. It informs about future climate change in the federal states. It is based on over 120 regional climate scenarios from various research projects. Users can select different climate elements such as temperature, precipitation, and wind, and view possible future changes for different seasons in various federal states. The Climate Atlas is continuously updated to reflect the current state of research.
The tool shows whether current storm surges and the course of the current season are exceptional or whether similar water levels have occurred before¹². It also compares the number of storm surges during the current season with previous years.
